Jesus Christ in Mormonism

In this page you can find several articles about what Mormons think of the Savior Jesus Christ. Unfortunately there are still a few uninformed people who think that Mormons are not Christians or that Mormons don't believe in Jesus Christ. However, this is a great mistake, because Mormons really believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who came to Earth to save all men and women that accept Him and follow His commandments. In fact the real name of the Mormon Church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mormon is just a nickname that we use because it's commonly used, but truly there are no more Christian people than Mormons. In fact, very few churches use the Savior's name. Why is this so? If a Church uses the name of Moses to identify itself...then it must be the Church of Moses . . .

Life of Jesus Christ

The birth of Jesus Christ was a miraculous event and the central event in all human history. Jesus Christ was born to Mary and Joseph in the city of Bethlehem, in Judea. Mary was the espoused wife of Joseph at the time of the Condescension of God. Condescension means the lowering of oneself voluntarily. Elder Bruce R. The Savior

The Guide to the Scriptures of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints states that a savior is "one who saves." Mormons believe that "Jesus Christ, through his atonement, offered redemption and salvation to all mankind." Christ is our rescuer or savior because He saved our bodies from physical death and has shown us the way to save our souls from spiritual death. Resurrection, or immortal life with a body of flesh and bones, is a gift given to all as a result of Christ performing the atonement, and later resurrection. (Read more)

The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints firmly believe that Christ lived and continues to live. They also believe in the Atonement, Crucifixion, and Resurrection of Christ. These have enabled mankind to repent of their sins and be resurrected. Crucifixion, common during the time period of the New Testament, was one of the most cruel forms of execution used by the Romans. The person being crucified was usually whipped a scourged first. The person was then forced to carry his cross to the execution site. (Read more)
